Daughter of Purrington William Whitfield and Minnie Dunn. Wife of Ospy "OJ" Barnes who preceded her in death. She was a member of West Haven Presbyterian Church for over 57 years and participated in every aspect of the life of the church, serving as a deacon, elder and trustee and singing in the choir. She worked at Planters National Bank for many years. She was survived by two sons. Funeral held 1/16/2008 with The Rev. Connie Button officiating.
