His death certificate inaccurately states his burial at the Blue Creek Cemetery; it was actually at the Abbott Cemetery on Blue Creek, where his relatives are buried.

LUTHER ABBOTT

LATTY - Funeral services for Luther Martin Abbott, 81, will be 1:30 pm Saturday at the Zion Baptist Church at Latty, with Rev. Guy Vinegar officiating. Burial will be in Abbott Cemetery, Blue Creek.

Mr. Abbott died 3 am Tuesday at a Richmond, Ind., hospital, where he had been a patient eight years.

A native of Paulding County, he was born Sept. 18, 1881, and was a son of Charles and Mary (Gaines) Abbott. Mr. Abbott farmed for many years in Blue Creek Township and prior to his illness, was employed by the Fruehauf Trailer Co., of Fort Wayne, Ind.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Crowell-Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, after 3pm Friday.
