Services for Nelda Russell, 89 of Palestine, will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Ron Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 6-8 P.M. at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Russell passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born December 2, 1932 in Groesbeck, Texas to Howard and Mossie (Congleton) Brooks.
She was a member of the Lone Pine Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Logan Russell and her sister Joyce Ray.
She is survived by her sons, Carroll & Kim Russell and Keith & Amy Russell; sisters, Mary Beth Williams and Patsy Mobley; her brothers, Carlton Brooks and Elmer Brooks; grandchildren, Shannon Cotton, Justin Russell, Chelsey Russell, Lou Russell, Cal Russell, Landry Taylor and Logan Taylor; and numerous great grandchildren.
