He was born in Brantley County to the late James Leroy Martin and Macie Melton Martin; ; also preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Martin and a brother-in-law, Charles Lee.
Mr. Martin had made Waycross his home for the majority of his life. He worked forty years for Joiner Fill Dirt and Transport. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved his dog, "Lady Bug", and his family. He enjoyed any moment he was able to spend with them. Mr. Martin will forever be remembered for how kind and caring he was to anyone he came in contact with.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Linda Martin of Waycross;
his daughter, Stacy Jean Kinnon of Vermont;
( three grandchildren )

Ava Goddin,
Dawson Goddin;
one sister, Gladys Lee of Hoboken;
one brother, Billy Ray Martin ( wife Rena Fay ) of Hoboken;
and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Jordan Church Cemetery in Dixie Union.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
