Missionary Betty Lou Brown was born August 2, 1942 in Coffeeville, Mississippi to Leslie Brown Sr. and Lonnie Hudson.

Betty Lou relocated at an early age to the beautiful city of South Bay, Florida where she worked for many years in the agriculture industry. Later in life, Betty Lou obtained her high school diploma to further her career in childcare as a Daycare Worker and foster parent within her own home. Betty Lou is known for her sense of humor, motherly love, tough love and would tell it like it is. Betty Lou loved to cook and will be remembered by her famous meal of pigeon peas and rice, souse and collard greens.

Betty Lou joined Mt. Calvary First Baptist Church in South Bay, Florida under the leadership of Reverend Coffee where she became a member of the choir and served faithfully on the Board of Missionaries. Missionary Brown moved her membership to Miracle by Faith Church under the pastorship of Bishop Berry Humphries who preceded her in death. Missionary Brown continued under the new leadership of Pastor Albert Polk and although she was not able to attend church as she desired she was faithful in her monetary giving.

On March 5, 2022 Betty Lou Brown entered eternal rest and is preceded in death by her parents, children: Shirley Brown, Claude Brown, Patrick Hampton, Eaphen Brown and grandson, Arthur Brown.

She leaves a lifetime of love and memories with her children: James Prince, Renester (Lois) Brown, Robert Lee, David Young, Mary Williams; Grandchildren: Quentella Brown, Kahnetta Brown, Roquelle Brown, Roquette Brown, Cortni Brown, Ro'Nijha Brown, Robert Brown, Sy'Ria Brown, Ma'Kayla Brown, A'Lisa Brown, Robert Brown III, Antoinette McKinney, Mercedes Hampton; Great Grandchildren: Zakai, Antiyahn, Kienaskia, Ja'Viana,
Zachariah, Arleah, Erykah, Mariah, Aden, Dinastee' , Johnny, Merciya, Courniya, Courtney; Special Friend: Pastor Ronald Pettigrew and a host of other relatives and friends.
