Ralph Emerson Miller, 84, of Billings, passed away May 5, 2022, at RiverStone Hospice home. He was born April 25, 1938, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Kirk and Bessie Miller.

Ralph graduated high school in Kellogg, Idaho and attended North Idaho Junior College. In 1956 he enlisted in the Marine Corps. In 1959 he transferred to Marine Corps Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1962.

On March 2, 1978, Ralph married "S.W." in Elko, Nevada. They made their home in Billings. Ralph worked 38 ½ years in Telecommunications. He worked for Pacific Telephone, Mountain States Telephone, Mountain Bell, US West and Qwest.

Ralph enjoyed hunting and started muzzleloader education for Hunter Safety classes. He built and shot Flintlock Rifles and the gear to go with them. He was a history buff and studied 1700-1900 American History. He also made gorgeous beadwork.

Ralph is survived by his wife; daughter; 3 sons and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Kirk.

A Graveside Service will be 11 am Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel, Montana. Memorials may be made to RiverStone Hospice, 2230 Mission Way, Billings, MT 59102 or to a dog rescue organization.
