Pastor Kevin Beck, 52, Minot, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his parent's home of a heart complication.
Kevin Beck was born June 29, 1969, in Minot, ND to Albert and Mary (Penner) Beck. He grew up on the farm with his parents honing his skills in craftsmanship he would carry his entire life. Kevin graduated from Sawyer High School in 1988 and continued his education at Bismarck State College, earning a degree in autobody repair.
Kevin was united in marriage to Jeanette Froehlich on June 15, 1991, in Belfield, ND at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. They made their home in Minot and were blessed with two beautiful daughters Kayla and Kristin.
Kevin used his degree to mold a 16-year career in autobody repair. He held positions at Jerome's Autobody, Minot's Finest Collision Center and Wade's Autobody, all of Minot.
Kevin spent his younger years in the outdoors fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a craftsman who could build anything, who blessed many with his ability to diagnose, plan and problem solve, no matter the project. He was known for being gentle and kind-hearted and was a man of integrity who humbly served others. His attention to detail was unmatched leading to excellent results no matter the project.
On January 11, 2001 Kevin accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The Lord led him to attend Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND in 2004. He returned home and joined First Assembly of God (now Journey Church) as an Associate Pastor for the first three years of his call to serve. Pastor Kevin transitioned to his current role of Executive Pastor in 2011, excelling as a servant of God. Pastor Kevin led by example leaving a legacy of service to God in his ministry, not bound by the walls of the church. He will be missed by all who were blessed to share in his life but most by those who knew him as a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, believer, and friend.
Pastor Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jeanette, Minot; daughters Kayla Beck, Bismarck and Kristin Beck, Minot; parents Albert and Mary Beck, Velva; siblings Suzann (Tim) Angstman, Crystal, MN, Steve (Lisa) Beck, Minot, ND and Aaron (Rochelle) Beck, Hillsboro, ND; mother and father-in-law Donald and Sarah Froehlich, Belfield, ND; sisters-in-law Janelle (Scott) Trout, Eagan, MN and Melissa (Mike) Schmidt, Belfield, ND; brother-in-law Mike (Kim) Froehlich, Dickinson, ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.
