Mr. Douglas Croffitt, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022.

A native of Natchez, Mississippi. Douglas relocated and resided in New Orleans for 66 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Marie Gibbs Crawford, his wife, Marjorie, his son Darren, his sister Dorothy C. Holmes and his brother Jesse James Croffitt.

He is survived by his children, Douglas N. (Marilynn) of Houston; Jeanine C. Feltus (Julius); Wayne Croffitt and Raeneika Reynolds (Tyrin) all of New Orleans; one brother, Melvin Crawford (Jackie); nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

The family would like to give thanks to the medical staff at Ochsner Center for Primary Care and Wellness. Also, a special thanks to faithful friends Daniel Wilson, Irma Melancon and Joycelyn Reed. Relatives and friends of the family, priest and parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, pastors, officers and members of City of Love Church, Abundant Life Church, Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, also employees of the City of New Orleans, It Takes A Village Academy, Dyke Industries, Inc, Southern Glazer Wine and Spirits, Public Belt Railroad, Friends of George Washington Carver Playground, Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 8321 Burthe Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 am. Visitation and Tributes will begin at 8:30 am. Reverend Charles Andrus S.S. J., Celebrant.

The interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA.
