Obituary
Arthur Kyle Johnson, husband of Janice Glasscock Johnson, married for 51years, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, May 11, 2022.

He was the father of Jeremy Kyle, Seattle Washington, Emily Elaine, in Heaven, and Amy Rebecca Barnett, Alabama. and grandfather to David Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Patrick Quimby and Noah Quimby.

Arthur was the most excellent wood working craftsman, He loved to make his wife beautiful pieces of furniture, to her delights, well as for his friends and family. His beautiful work will be sorely missed.

Arthur was in the Army 101st Airborne Division from 1969 to 1970 and was awarded a Bronze Star recipient for his service in the Vietnam war. He graduated from Southwestern University Waxahachie, Texas, in May of 1993. He was a Pastor for 10 years in Mississippi. Then he and Janice became house parents at 3 different Home for Children, They fostered over 38 boys. He retired in 2008.

He was preceded death by his daughter, Emily, his parents, Thomas R and Dixie Steed Johnson, Father in law Donald W. Glasscock, Sister in law, Kay Glasscock and many friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mortimer Funeral Home was honored to provided services for Mr. Johnson and his family.
