Robert Gene "Bob" Medlin, Sr., age 81, of Waddy, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his residence.
He was born in Greenback, Tennessee to the late Alex Medlin, Sr. and Jenny Sauls Medlin of Walland, Tennessee. For many years Bob was active with saddle bred horses and building fences. He was an avid UK fan and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting with his sons and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents; Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Medlin, Jr. and his two sisters, Nancy Lou Evelyan Medlin and Maxine Mann.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Anne "Cookie" White Medlin of Waddy; his daughter, Rosie Riddle (Derrick) of Simpsonville; his two sons, Robert Medlin, Jr. (Amanda) of Waddy and Norman Medlin (Laura) of Fern Creek; his eight grandchildren, Kaitlin, Eric, Maranda, Shelbi, Lane, Jenna, Parker, and Samie; his two brothers, Jack Medlin (Mildred) and Ernie Medlin (Brenda), both of Maryville, Tennessee; his sister, Charlene Neubert (Bud) of Birchwood, Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Mae Belle Medlin of Maryville, Tennessee. Additionally, he is survived by one daughter, Britney Medlin of Knoxville, Tennessee and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial is at Smithfield Cemetery in Smithfield, Kentucky.
