Mar 6, 1925: G. O'Graske of the valley, in a critical state of health, was taken to the hospital in Canon last week, but as his condition was found hopeless, he was brought back to his home on Sunday. Later-Mr.
O 'Graske passed away on Tuesday evening about 7 o'clock. The deceased came to this valley with the colonists in 1870 as a boy and resided here ever since. He led a quiet life and was known as an honest, upright citizen. He is survived by a widow, second marriage, and six children, the names of whom we have been unable to obtain at this writing. Mrs. Robt. Elze, a sister, in the valley, also survives. The funeral will be held from the home at 10 a.m. today (Friday) followed by services at the Lutheran church, Rev. Heerwagen officiating, after which interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
