After completing her education and becoming a licensed RN, CEN and TNS, she worked as a trauma nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital for 22 years and was recognized several times as "Trauma Nurse of the Year." She was also a member of GA DMAT and attended St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Leo T Griffin, Jr.; son, Tom Griffin; daughter, Tiffany Arterburn; granddaughters, Emma Grace and Elise Arterburn; brothers, Ed McClure, Doug McClure, David McClure, and John McClure; and sisters, Kathy McClure and Carolyn Grau.
