Maud Marie Hudson
September 28, 1950 ~ February 21, 2022 (age 71)

Maud Marie Kegel Hudson of Woodstock, New York passed away, Monday, February 21, 2022. She was born September 28, 1950 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She grew up in California and later moved to New York State with Garth, her husband of over 43 years.

Maud was very talented musically and loved to sing & play guitar with music groups. It was probably one the reasons she married a musical genius.

Maud and Garth have traveled to many countries performing and singing for many fans of their style of music. Their most recent home has been Woodstock, NY, which name was made famous by the great music festival held there in 1969. Her husband performed at Woodstock with the seminal musical group, The Band. Over her career, Maud Hudson sang and recorded with the likes of Dr. John, Norah Jones, Cyndi Lauper, Albert Collins, along with many others, including, of course, The Band. Her family has been very proud of their accomplishments.

She is survived by her husband, Eric "Garth" Hudson, 2 brothers, Larry Dean Kegel and William Bruce Kegel, 1 daughter, Tami Zoe Hill, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father and mother, William Edward Kegel and Marion Gayle Yancey Kegel Briskey .

The family would like to thank all who have shared in their sorrow. Your love and kindness have been deeply appreciated.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 1:30 pm in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.~~~Olpin Family Mortuary
