Virgie Lee Childs, age 74, of Lake Village, AR, died Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, at Chi St. Vincent North (Sherwood.) She was a native of Lake Village, AR. She was a retiree of Eudora Garment Factory and member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by a son, Andra Childs; her parents, Rev. Willie McQuay and Clemetine Williams; two brothers, Andrew Clary and Willie Holt; a sister, Lenner Halley; and adoptive father, Troy Miller.

She is survived by one daughter, Lena Miller of Eudora, AR; an adoptive mother, Lenner Mae Miller of Eudora, AR; nine brothers, James Garner of West Helena, AR, Finis Williams and Willie Patton Jr., both of Little Rock, AR, Cedric Holt (Demeto) and Fredrick McQuay (Marshall), both of Crossett, AR, Robert Lee McQuay of Pine Bluff, AR, Elbert Holt (Linda) of Newark, OH, Troy E. Miller of Slidell, LA, and Billy Ray Bell (Terry) of Lake Village, AR; eight sisters, Sonja McGee (Evage) of Bilouxi, MS, Delanse McQuay of St. Louis, MO, Rosetta Green of San Jose, CA, Marcella Williams-Robinson of Jacksonville, AR, Clorette Sandford (Willie) of Hot Springs, AR, Susie B. Grant (Howard) of Eudora, AR, Gladys Towns and Louise Miller, both of Tacoma, WA; one grandchild, Carveyett Walker Bridges (Roy), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 at 1 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Lake Village, AR with Rev. Tyler Cain officiating. Pallbearers: Justin McCree, Robert James, Troy Miller, Willie Patton, Finis Williams and Billy Bell. Burial is to follow at New Cemetery in Lake Village, AR.
