Debbie Rae (Ulrich) Foster, 69, went home to be with Jesus on May 9, 2022. Debbie was born April 14, 1953, in Pekin, IL, to Harry and Antoinette "Toni" (Borrelli) Ulrich,
They preceded her in death.
She was a loving wife, mother, Nonnie, sister, aunt and friend.
Debbie married David W. Foster on April 22, 1978, in Peoria, IL, he survives. They were married 44 years and raised five children together, three daughters. and two sons and their wives; two sons-in-law and another son. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one brother and his wife; one sister and her husband three sisters by choice. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michale and Mitchael Ulrich and one niece, Christa Farmer.
One of her favorite past times was going thrift shopping, spending hours looking through everything that was there. When she asked anyone if they wanted to go with her, we all knew to ask where she was going because we were going to be in the Salvation Army for a long time. Whether she was at home or on vacation she knew where the thrift store was located. She was an avid crocheter, loved and collected jewelry, loved rocks, going on cruises and every year didn't miss watching "The Ten Commandments". The most important purpose for Debbie's existence is that she lived by 1 John 3:16-18, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." She opened the door for anyone who needed a meal, an outfit, a place to sleep, or love. God blessed all that knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022, at the Peoria Christian Center at 1:00 pm.
The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
