Peggy Carolyn Jeffries, age 82, of Knoxville passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Sacred Ground Hospice surrounded by her loved ones. She was an usher at the University of Tennessee for twenty years; and she played the organ for West End Baptist Church for many years where she was also a member. She will be greatly missed and she loved everyone she knew.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh "Mickey" Allen Jeffries, father, Leonard Earl Hutchison; mother, Gerotha Christine (Foust) Slemp; step- father, Mike Slemp; and brother, Adrian Earl Hutchison.

She is survived by children, Terry (Darrel) Lethgo, Traci A. Long, Tammy (Dan) Peters, and Tim Jeffries; grandchildren, Josh, Justin, and Jared Peters, Nick (Kayla) Lethgo, Natalie Lethgo, Zachary Long, Timothy "Bubba" Jeffries, and Tiffany Jeffries; sisters, Linda Caylor, Geraldine Staley, Scheryl Miller; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank UT Hospice and Sacred Ground for their excellent care.

Family and friends may call at their convenience from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm Friday, May 13, 2022, at ROSE FUNERAL & CREMATION BROADWAY. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Bookwalter Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service. Pallbearers will be her grandkids: Josh, Justin, and Jared Peters, Nick Lethgo, Zachary Long, and Timothy "Bubba" Jeffries, Jr.
