Chris was my only son. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother and nephew. He was born Friday August 12, 1977 in the emergency room at Boaz and Albertville Hospital now known as Marshall Medical Center South Boaz, Alabama. He died at St Vincent's East in Birmingham, Alabama at 3.30AM Thursday May 12, 2022. Chris spent a total of 55 days at St Vincent's before he passed away.

Graveside service for Mr. Christopher Dale Cross, age 44, of Ashville, AL, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022, at New Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Gooch officiating the service.

Mr. Cross entered his Heavenly home on Thursday, May 12, 2022. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene Henry Cross, Sr and Lillie Leona Cross and Robert Elmer Warren and Hazel Irene Warren.

Left to cherish the memory of Mr. Cross are his wife of 20 years, Amanda Cross, of Ashville, AL, his sons; Skyler Cross, Parker Cross, father, Eugene Henry Cross, Jr, mother, Dianne Cross, sisters; Kelly Walker (Toby), April Dasher, special uncle, Tony Warren, brother-in-law, Wes Mayhall (Jennifer), sister-in-law, Angie Pierce (Gary), father and mother-in-law, Scott and Donna Mayhall, nieces and nephews; Courtney Gregory, Bella Pierce, Brody Walker (Sydney), Logan Walker (Madison), Harmony Dasher, Raven Dasher, Hannah Mayhall, Cash Mayhall, great nieces and great nephews; Jax Gregory, Finnley Walker, Tavy Walker and Raelyn Walker.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Mayhall, Justin Chandler, Dantley Thompson, Chris Thompson, Lauill Thompson, Robert Roebuck, Tony Warren and Scott Mayhall.
Mr. Cross was a law enforcement officer for over 20 years in Ashville, Guntersville, and St. Clair County, 15 of which he served as a Game Warden. He was a big deer hunter and loved the outdoors. Mr. Cross loved kids and enjoyed coaching youth sports. To know Mr. Cross was to love him and he will be greatly missed.
