Lonnie Vermon Andrews, age 85, of Perry, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was born May 4, 1937 in Cleveland, Arkansas, a son of the late Elmer Andrews and Gladys "Wilson" Andrews

Lonnie retired as a foreman after 39 years with Rock Island Railroad, he loved to garden and after retirement made many friends who came by to buy his produce.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Willa Jane "Edwards" Andrews; three sons, Johnny (Cathey) Andrews, Jimmy (Paula) Andrews and Russell ( Sandy) Andrews; 6 grandchildren, Lori Andrews, Rodney Andrews, Billy Hill, Stacy Fulton, Zachary Andrews and Luke Andrews; seven great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and sister-in-law, Laudis and Imogene Andrews , Lemuel Andrews and brother-in-law, Carl Floyd and sister-in-law, Lala Wylia, great-great grandson, Joseph Emery.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Denis LaCook officiating. Burial will be at McGhee Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers were Harold Andrews, David Andrews, Gregg Andrews, Zach Andrews, Rodney Andrews and Billy Hill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
