Carol Eloise Wright, 83, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Carol was born February 1, 1939, and raised in El Paso, TX by her parents, Robert and Eloise Edgar. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1956 and attended Amarillo College. For many years she worked for the law firm of Culton, Morgan, Britain and White. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church.
She married John Lacey Wright on January 10, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and a sister Gayle Betty.
Survivors include her children, Tammy Guthrie and husband Dan, and Kelly Simpson and husband Vonn, all of Amarillo, TX, and Britt Wright and wife Kristina, of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Brendan, Conner, and Jennifer; and two great-grandchildren, Cristian and Gabriela.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
