Beverly Jean Boettcher died on Nov. 26, 2007 at age 60, in Fairbury, NE.

Beverly was born to William and Tillie (Janssen) Hohbein on Mar. 11, 1947 on a farm near Plymouth, NE. She was the fifth child born to this family.

She was baptized in 1947 and confirmed in 1961 at the Zion Lutheran Church in rural Harbine, NE. She attended country school and Zion Lutheran School. She graduated from Diller High School in 1965. She worked for Fred Reese, CPA and Ronald Schwab, Attorney at Law in Fairbury after high school.

On Dec. 17, 1969 she married Wesley Boettcher in Corpus Christi, TX. To this union two children were born. They made their home in San Antonio, TX until Wes was transferred to Denver, CO. in 1970.

Upon returning to Fairbury in 1972, she took a position as secretary to the County Attorney. She held the position for eight years serving a number of county attorneys during this period.

In 1980, the family moved to Casper, WY, where she became buyer for a locally owned multistate convience store line.

Due to declining health of Wes' parents, they moved back to Fairbury in 1990. In 1998, she was elected to the office of the Clerk of the District Court. She held this position until her death.

Survivors include her husband, son Brian (Joy) of Casper, daughter, Deanna Davis of Fairbury, grandchildren, Steven, Dezerae, Taylor, P.J. Brown, Justin Brown, Kylee Roberly, brothers, Marvin Hohbein and special friend, Esther Rabel of Lincoln, NE, Harvey Hohbein (LaFaye) of Cheyenne, OK, sister, Fern (Cecil) Maschman, of Daykin, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Services were Nov. 30, 2007 at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Carpenter officating. Music was provided by Lola Schlichtman, Deanna and Dezerae Davis and Victoria Ackerman.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Maschman, Jim Janssen, Jerry Maschman, Nels Sorensen, Daniel Drees, Charles Endorf, Richard Schlichtman and clifford Wolf.
