Blake graduated Lehi High school in 1954 where he met and later married the love of his life, Daryhl Faye Hardman. Blake and Daryhl were involved in competition archery during the early years of their marriage of which they won many trophies and titles. The love for archery also carried over to Blake's love of hunting. He joined the record books of Pope & Young in 1963 with a record-breaking mule deer harvested with his recurve bow.
Blake and Daryhl welcomed 4 sons and 2 daughters into their family. Ralph, Sherie, Deborah, Daryl, Morgan and Clarence. Their favorite vacations were spent hunting and camping. He loved being in a tent with a nice warm heavy blanket covering his sleeping bag, wood burning stove and air mattress. Of course, part of that camping pleasure was enjoying the hot cooked breakfasts in the cool mountain air.
After Daryhl's passing Blake met and married Ann Sweat Bates Spencer, December 27, 1990. They shared many of the same interests. They enjoyed camping, riding ATV's and hunting for arrowheads. Ann had children from her previous marriage Karl, Leanna, Angie and Lora. Between their two families they have a total of 10 children, 28 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Blake was a member of the Ironworkers Local 27 and Labors Union working as a Welder/Rigger at Geneva Steel in Orem until his retirement after completing 33 years.
Blake was a loyal member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of which he held many positions including Scoutmaster assistant and counselor in the bishopric. He also organized the first Young Adult Ward in Utah County and served as the bishop in that ward.
He is survived by wife, Ann, his 6 children Ralph (Cindy) Spencer, Sherie Fausett, Deborah (Troy) Kehl, Daryl (Jan) Spencer, Morgan (Sherrill) Spencer and Clarence (Theresa) Spencer. Ann's children, Karl (JoD'Ann) Bates, Leanna (Eric) Milgate, Angie (Mark) Wood and Lora (Gary) Jewett. His brothers Stephen (Joan) Spencer, Clark Spencer and Mike (Joan) Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Daryhl, his sisters Marjorie Larsen, Loraine Healey, Carma Swain and 2 grandsons Casey David Turner and Lance Dee Fausett.
