John F. Nason, long-time resident of Waterloo, died Friday, January 17, 1941, at this home, from a heart attack.
Mr. Nason was born at Boomer [Township in Pottawattamie County], Iowa, October 20, 1866, and was 74 years, 2 months and 27 days old at the time of his death.
John has three brothers, Richard and Dr. W. C. Nason of Waterloo, James of Denison, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Tamisiea and Mrs. Cecelia Binnix.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church at Elkhorn, and were in charge by the Rev. Father John F. Brock.
Pall-bearers were M. G. Blake, John and Leo Love, Louis Villwok, Richard Foley and Edward Melia. Interment was in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
Among those from a distance attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. George Haines and Mr. and Mrs. John Nason and Mrs. Clair Serviss of Council Bluffs, and several from Omaha, Gretna and Valley.
