Donna Mae Griffin, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday May 10, 2022.
She was born on September 6, 1939, the daughter of the late Albert and Madeline (Weber) Knapp in Deer Creek (Outagamie County).
Donna met Harold Griffin in 1957; they were united in marriage on August 23, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Donna and her husband lived and farmed-raising pigs in the Town of Maple Creek. They loved camping, fishing, snowmobiling and traveling-especially wintering in Florida and Arizona. She spent countless hours tending to her garden and feeding the birds.
Donna is survived by her children: Steven (Paula) Griffin; Sherry (Dean) Peterson; Terry (Peter) Zuehls; Wade (Cindy) Griffin; Brad (Lisa) Griffin; Alan Griffin (special friend Renee) and David (Kim) Griffin; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two brothers Leon (Cheryl) Knapp and John Knapp; a sister Bernice Reeck; and brothers-in-law, Roger (Ellie) Griffin and Mark (Darlene) Griffin. Donna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; a brother Robert Knapp; grandsons Eric Krueger and Justin Griffin; and a brother-in-law Gerald Reeck.
The funeral mass for Donna will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 16, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church Bear Creek with Fr. Tim Shillcox officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday May 15, 2022, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and also at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
