Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Elizabeth E. Cray, aged 83, who passed away on Christmas Day [Dec. 25, 1940] at the home of her son, William Cray, in the Valley View community.
Mrs. Cray was born in South Bend, Indiana, May 11, 1857. She had lived in this vicinity for the past three years. She was the last of five sisters and one brother, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her nine children, four of whom reside in Oregon and five in Indiana. The funeral was under the direction of Peterson's Funeral Home of Ontario, with Rev. Alva E. Gilbert of the Ontario Methodist Church conducting the services. Internment was in the Ontario cemetery.
