MARY LOU MEADE FRANKLIN
MAY 28, 1935 – MAY 3, 2022
Sweet Mary Lou Meade Franklin, 86 formerly of Norwich, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Mary was born in Holmesville to the late George and Mary Meade.
She was also predeceased by
her daughter, Sheila Hoke;
her husband, Arden Franklin;
her sisters,
Jean Burdick and
Regina Carpenter;
and her brothers,
Richard and Tom Meade.
Survivors include her children,
Rick and Sandy White;
Rock and Kim White;
Liza White and Andy Leed;
Vicki and Bert Beames;
Crystal Pavlunenko,
John and Priscilla Baldwin;
and Brent Baldwin;
special niece Connie Barnes;
many grandchildren, great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews;
as well as her brother, Robert and Lois Meade;
and her sisters-in-law, Carmen Mills and Virginia Meade.
Mary was always happiest taking care of others. She will be remembered as a special lady who always had a smile on her face, giving and receiving hugs. Mary spent the last two years in Otego with family, wintering in Myrtle Beach. She made so many friends throughout her life in Norwich, South New Berlin, Otego, Myrtle Beach as well many snow birds from all across the country. Mary enjoyed playing cards and sitting in the sun. She loved listening to music. Her favorites were Elvis, her brother Tom, and of course her son and grandson. Mary especially loved the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family will always treasure all the memories made with her.
A memorial service for Mary will be announced in the fall. She will be laid to rest at J. D. Lewis Cemetery.
