Mrs. Gina Balwanz Cox, 36, died suddenly Saturday (January 12, 2008) at her residence in Folkston.
She was a native and resident of Ware County before moving to Folkston five years ago. She was a loving and devoted homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, David Samuel Cox of Folkston; one son, Jesse Balwanz of Folkston; one daughter, Skylar Balwanz of Folkston; her mother, Jean McDaniel Bowman (husband Steve) of Millwood; her father, Stephen E. Scruggs (wife Gina) of Waycross; one brother, Stephen M. Scruggs of Waycross; paternal grandparents, Malcolm and Mary Scruggs of Harriet's Bluff; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth McDaniel of Waycross; special cousin, Millie Thrift (husband Alvin) of Millwood; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday (January 16, 2008) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Royal Cemetery in Pearson. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
