Linda Ann Neel Lafferty, age 54 of Tazewell, VA passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born October 8, 1967 in Bluefield, WV she was the daughter of Billy Neel and the late Betty Compton Neel. Linda graduated from Tazewell High School in 1986 and was president of the FBLA, a special position her two daughters held as well. She then graduated from Bluefield College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Linda loved Snoopy, eating tomatoes, and her cats, especially Miss Mavis. Linda stayed very involved in her daughter's activities. She was known as the Tazewell Torpedo "ribbon lady" for ten years. She was the queen of fundraising and always provided snacks to the team members for whatever sporting event she attended to support her daughters. Linda had the most beautiful blue eyes and was a selfless person. She always did for others before she ever did anything for herself. She loved her daughters very much and always encouraged them to do and be their best. Linda is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her mother, Betty Neel.

In addition to her father, Billy Neel of Tazewell, VA; two daughters, Brenna and Dayna Lafferty, both of Tazewell, VA; and the father of her children, Kevin Lafferty.
