Mickey Cunningham, of from Apache Oklahoma was born on October the 8th of 1947, at the family home near Porter Hill, Oklahoma to JB and Vera Cunningham.

Mickey served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1969 at first as a truck driver then a medic. He served in Germany, Virginia, and Oklahoma before retiring medically.

Mickey married his wife, Patricia Ann Cunningham, on September 12, 1968 and they had two children Bill and Paul. Sadly, Mickey's wife passed away December 8, 2006.

Mickey was well loved and respected. He worked as a Maintenance Man and Salesman over the years. He had a strong charisma and a commanding presence in all of his endeavors. Whenever he did anything, he strived to do it well. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a horseman who took in horses that most people wouldn't. He cared for his horses, dogs, and animals as if they were his children. He loved cowboy movies, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charley Pride, Roy Clark, The Oklahoma Sooners, and tolerated Elvis because his wife loved him. He took his family camping at the lake nearly every weekend while the boys were young. He said that Mount Scott cast its shadow on God's country and God's country is where he wanted to be.

Mickey was particularly fond of his nephew, Jason Cunningham of Elgin, and his God children, Brandi Christianson of Chickasha, Ryshell Schrader of Colorado, and Ron Hardzog of Sapulpa.

Mickey was a people's person if there ever was one. His laughter was unique and wonderful. People felt peace and comfort in his presence.

He left us at the age of 74 on May 9, 2022 at home.

Graveside services were held at Fairview Cemetery on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10am where he was laid to rest next to his wife for eternally. A celebration of life was held on May 14 at the Medicine Park Music Hall.
