Beverly (Jan) was born on January 23, 1938 in Morrison Oklahoma to Paul and Elnora Schlehuber.
Morrison was always her home. She grew up, attended school, and graduated high school from Morrison, in 1956.
On June 23, 1956 she married William J Bales. (Bill) at the Morrison Methodist Church. They spent the first few years of their marriage moving around to different towns, before coming back to Morrison in 1965 and settled in to raise their family.
They had four children together, Monica, Rex, Donna and Debra. They adopted their eldest granddaughter, April Bales.
Mom loved to sew. Her mother bought her first Singer sewing machine under the agreement she would make clothes for Grandma, which she happily agreed. Mom made clothes for her children, and grandchildren over the years. She also loved to crochet. She has made many Afghans, and bed spreads for her grown children, and baby blankets for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also loved to play Bingo, a pass-time that she spent many hours with her own mother, and youngest daughter, Debra.
Bill and Jan were married 45 years before Bill passed on Sept. 22, 2001, and Jan passed on May 6th, 2022.
