He was born on June 19, 1943, in Brownwood, TX, to parents Buster and Juanita (Hill) Camron.
Bill grew up in Texas with sisters Margie and Kathy.
He graduated from Central High School. As a running back for the Bobcats, he earned a scholarship to Sul Ross.
Bill made countless friends throughout his life. On June 8, 1963, Bill married his sweetheart, Carolyn Lykins.
He served in the US Army earning several military awards.
Bill took pride in his work as a carpenter. In 2014, he retired after more than 20 years of civil service at Goodfellow Air Force Base.
He enjoyed serving in his church in several capacities. He had a passion for bringing airmen to the Lord.
Bill enjoyed telling stories and jokes to anyone that would listen. He immensely enjoyed giving friends and family a hard time.
Bill is survived by wife Carolyn; daughters Wanda and husband Brandon, Patricia and husband Keith; grandchildren Jonathan, Katelyn, Christina, Zachary, and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Ryland and Jack; sister Kathy; numerous nephews and nieces and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by daughter Diana and sister Margie.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00pm at Harper Funeral Home, followed by graveside service at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
