Born December 31, 1920 to loving parents, John and Bertha Farr. She grew up in Abilene, TX attending Wylie schools graduating in 1938. She was recently recognized by Wylie Schools as the oldest living graduate. Wylie United Methodist Church has always been her home church. In 1942, Gracie married her best friend, her one true love, the late Vernon Poor. They married during WWII and were stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas, a cavalry unit where Vernon learned to make saddles. Upon returning to Abilene Vernon and Gracie opened a saddle shop making western saddles along with many other great adventures including raising and showing dogs. Gracie worked at Timex for 25 years before retiring in 1986.
Gracie was the devoted mother to Peggy Poor Kennedy (Darrell), Tommy Poor (Jo) and John Poor (Sherry); doting grandmother to Don Kennedy (Shawn), Tony Poor (Amanda Sellers), Lacey Boles (Cooter) and Chelsey Rajput (Shai); loving great-grandmother to Kelcee Kennedy Davis, Brittney Poor (James Hooper), Avery Boles, Amelia Rajput and Dylan Boling; warm hearted great-great grandmother to Gage Davis, Ryker Davis and Bexlee Martinez; favorite Aunt to many nieces and nephews and friend to many.
Gracie is the last of her generation. Gone before her are her brothers and sisters, Wendall Farr, J.A. Farr, J.L. Farr, Bernice O'Kelly, Eleanor Hoover and Lescia Sharp.

Gracie was also preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings and her great grandson, Bryce Kennedy.
