Patti was born in Yonkers, New York. She was raised by her cherished grandmother Ruth Kott in Mill Valley California.

She had one daughter Betti. She was a single working mother who obtained a degree in chemistry and became a formulator for Sherwin Williams in Los Angeles. She was very good at her job and was assigned to work on the formulary for the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

She moved to Redding in the early 80's to be close to her children. I think her friends and family would describe her as quick-witted, with a saucy sense of humor. She championed the causes of animal rescue and children in need. She bought warm coats for the homeless people. She was very kind, but never afraid to speak her mind. She loved her animals, her family, her friends, and the 49ers; but her greatest love was her grandchildren, of which there were many. She had 5 grand children and 7 great grandchildren.

Grandchildren: Nathan, David, James, Janelle, and Daniel.

Great- grandchildren; Taylor, Ezra, Jayden, Alexis, Layla, Ezekiel and Lyra.

Bonus Children; Roy, Stan, David, Amanda, Arron, Sarah, Audra and Landon. There are many more too numerous to name. My daughter posted this tribute which is too beautiful not to share.

"Our grandma was such an incredible woman. Like a mother but with out all the rules. She was the best secret keeper, story teller, and had the biggest heart, warmest hugs, best advice, and gave us the greatest adventures, and best snacks! You couldn't find a grandmother more caring or kind, and for eternity I'll thank the heavens that I got to call her mine. She filled our lives with never ending laughter and love. She left a lasting impact on every life she touched. She was best known for her kindness and generosity. We will forever cherish the memories and carry on her legacy. Grandma is always on our mind, but death doesn't mean we're apart, because although she may be gone from our sight, she's never gone from our heart." A Beautiful tribute for a beloved Nana!
