Actor. He was best known to television and film viewers for the numerous character roles he played during a career that span five decades. He got his start in acting on the theatrical stage after originally working as a waiter in New York City. He later attended the Actors Studio. In 1983, he made his film debut in "Strange Invaders." He would go on to appear in such films as "The Last Boy Scout," (1991) "Wyatt Earp," (1994) "My Fellow Americans," (1996) "The Big Lebowski," (1998) "Men in Black II," (2002) "Pineapple Express," (2008) and "The Sound and the Fury." (2014) In 1986, he made his "small screen" debut in "Hill Street Blues." His later television credits would include "Fresno," "Cagney & Lacey," "St. Elsewhere," "Murder One," "The Pretender," "NYPD Blue," "Monk," and "The Man in the High Castle."
