Prior to receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from Widener Law School, Mr. O'Brien worked as a Federal Agent for the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, now known as the DEA, for many years. Once equipped with his law degree, he went to work for a large law firm in Philadelphia, before branching out on his own and forming O'Brien and Ryan in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
A devoted and loving husband to the love of his life, Mary Ann, he was the patriarch of the family who cherished spending all of his down time with his family. He enjoyed boating and playing the piano for his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. O'Brien is survived by three sons, Michael J. O'Brien of West Chester, PA, Matthew J., husband of Meghan O'Brien of Cary, NC, and David J., husband of Linda O'Brien of Nyack, NY; four grandchildren, Catherine, Tierney, John "Jack", and Kalispell; and one sister, Maureen (O'Brien) Hansen, wife of Paul Hansen of Falmouth, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, PA 19442 on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Gary T. Pacitti. Burial will be held privately in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 or on Friday morning from 9:45 am - 10:15 am in the Church.
