Karen Ann (Fiegen) Smith was born in Colman SD on July 15, 1938 to the late Edward and Mary (Lawler) Fiegen. Karen married Gerald Roumain "Jerry" Smith in Dell Rapids on June 24, 1961, and moved to Southern California raising three children.
