A private graveside service will be held for James DeWayne McClure, 81, of Tyler with Kevin Burdette officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Green Acres Baptist Chapel.

Mr. McClure was born on February 3, 1941 in Abilene to Garvin and Wanda Lesley McClure. He passed away on May 3, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family.

A graduate of Arlington State College, Mr. McClure was one of the founders of Estes-McClure and Associates and served as its president. He was a mentor, marketer, project manager, business developer and more. Many employees at EMA were trained and fostered by Mr. McClure. He focused not only on his clients, but also on his employees and their families. He laid the foundation for what EMA has become today.

As a devoted member of Green Acres Baptist Church, James taught Sunday School and mentored young couples. His Christian example was recognized by all who knew him. He was an avid golfer. His greatest joys were celebrating with his family and traveling with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife Ellen Nelson McClure, son Kent McClure (Carole), Michael Nelson (Lori), Michele Reising (Richard), Melinda Spence (Michael); grandchildren Nikole McClure, Mallory Whitehead (Cody), Braden Nelson, Payton Nelson, John Mark Spence, Owen Spence, Andrew Spence, Audrey Spence, and Gabriella Reising; and great -grandchildren Ty Whitehead and Harper Whitehead.
