Dr. Michael "Mike" Agnew, 61, went to be with the Lord Monday April 8, 2019.
Mike was the son of Jimmie Ruth Garrett and Robert A. Agnew, Sr of Chattanooga.
Dr. Agnew graduated from East Ridge High School in 1976. He received a scholarship to
wrestle at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for Coach Jim Morgan. Mike left UTC and then attended and graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Moody Bible Institute in Theology, where he met and married his wife, Cherrie Agnew.
Mike completed his Master's Degree from Trinity Seminary in Psychology and then completed his Doctorates at Northern Illinois University in Education. Mike worked
at numerous colleges as Director of MBA Placement, such as, Wharton School of Business, University of Maryland, University of Minnesota and Michigan State University (His Favorite).
Mike was a devoted Christian, husband, father and grandfather.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Agnew, Sr.; step-father, William J. Garrett; and sister, Donna Ruth Castings.
