Reverend Bill R. Horne, 73, of West Helena, Arkansas, went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2012. He was born on May 10, 1938 at Paduca, Texas to the late Enis and Iva Dortch Horne. Bill pastored a church at Odessa, Texas for several years and was an Associate Pastor at the House of the Lord Church in Helena for many years. In the last several years, he attended Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church in West Helena, where he was a member. He also attended the True Gospel Church and ministered there occasionally; he was a beloved brother there also.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Ford Horne; a son, Darrell Horne of Odessa, Texas; three daughters of Odessa and Midland, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Horne of Fort Worth, Texas and James "Jim" Horne (Rita) of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Daris Evans of Witchita Falls, Texas, Evelyn Owens of Helena and Iva Jean Walker (David) of West Helena; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marlon and Cecil Horne; and a sister, Maxine Young.

A memorial service for Reverend Bill Horne will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Rodger Hooker will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or to the church of your choice.
