William David "Hooch" Baskett, 63, Beech Grove, IN, formerly of Monroe County, died at his residence. Born in Renssalear, IN, he was a son of the late Hubert and Hazel (Hinds) Baskett.
He was a retired contractor and also had workied with security for the 16th Street Speedway and the Indianapaolis 500. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Hubert Wayne and Teri Baskett, Murfreesboro, TN, a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Steve Urich, Indianapolis.
A brother, James Martin Baskett, and a sister, Alice Avenue Baskett, preceded him in death.
