Albert Lee Knight, 93, passed away at home on April 30, 2022.

Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Esther Rena (Guerri) Knight; brother, James (Pauline) Knight; and sisters, Beatrice (George) Rankin and Delores Huerta.

He is survived by brother-in-law, Bob Huerta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Al was born to James Clinton and Vernona Knight on Sept. 28, 1928, in Medicine Lodge, Kan., graduated from Springfield High School where he was on the Colorado State Basketball Champion Team and attended college in Fort Collins.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War earning two Bronze Stars for heroics in combat.

Al was a Master Plumber, owner of Ute Plumbing in Colorado Springs and member of Local Plumbers and Pipefitters #58.

Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Celebration of Life, noon, Monday, May 16, 2022, at The American Legion at 9th and West.

Final resting place, Union Highland Cemetery in Florence, Colo.
