It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Mary Schwartz announce her death on November 8, 2021, at the age of 61 following a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Liz was born on May 14, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late James J. and June Marie (Murray) Schwartz. She is survived by brothers James (San Luis Obispo, CA), John (Ft. Myers, FL), Steve (Parkton, MD); and sisters Dee Harbin (Baltimore, MD), Cathy Zahn(Clearwater, FL) and Sue Wells (Baltimore, MD); and many loving nieces and nephews. Liz grew up in Baltimore and in Carroll County graduating from Westminster High School in 1978. She attended the University of Maryland and worked in the healthcare field her entire career. Liz will be remembered as a caring person with a remarkable self-effacing humor. One of her admired personality traits was Liz's ability to make everyone she met feel seen and heard. Always focused on physical fitness, her family was devastated by her sudden death from this dreaded cancer. Liz loved all animals but her cat Chloe held a very special place in her life. A memorial service will be held on May 14, 2022 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with interment alongside her parents. Liz will be missed but not forgotten.
