Herbert Edward Williams born on October 26, 1964, in Eatonton, GA. Was affectionately known as "Herb", "Herbie" and "Pumpkin" was called home to be with Jesus on May 6, 2022. He was the oldest of Reverend George H. Williams, Sr., and Reverend Jessie Mae Wynn Williams. Herbert was raised in Boston, MA where he attended and completed his education at Mario Umana Harbor School of Science & Technology in 1984 where he was known as "Mr. School Spirit''. From his youth, Herb was enthusiastic and passionate about basketball, cooking, and his love for God. Herb was personable and could speak to anyone using his gift of gab. After high school Herbert joined the U.S. military serving a part of the 82nd Airborne division in Fort Bragg, NC. Herbert and Dorothy Hardmon were united in marriage on October 26, 1985. In this union God blessed them with four beautiful daughters. He also had a son. Herbert accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit at Fellowship Temple Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Claude James. In 2020, Herbert was ordained as a National Evangelist under the Church of God In Christ. He was preceded in death by his father Reverend George H. Williams, Sr., and brother Omar T. Williams. Herbert leaves to celebrate his life with mother Jessie Mae Wynn Williams, Genevie Fields (GodMother), Siblings: George Williams, Jr., Vickie Williams, Andre Williams (Shakima Williams), Rochelle Wade (James Wade), Hurbert Johnson, Keith Johnson, and Angela Johnson. Children: Antoinette E Williams, Angelica M Williams, Annalicia P Williams, Dejour Scott, Antonia C Williams; God Children: Jabar Cancer and Henry Hopwood. Herbert has seven grandchildren: Nalayah Terry, Omar Terry, Ava Williams, Leilani Williams, Cincere Williams, (predeceased), Rae'Alice Player, Marcus Rucker, Rayden Williams, Baby Williams. Host of nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins; relatives and friends. Herb will be remembered for his energetic personality, his big laugh and infectious smile.
