Ms. Carolyn Cooper of Washington, N.C. entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2021 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice surrounded by her family
Carolyn Ann Cooper was born on February 1, 1956, to the union of Maggie Evans and the late Berry Evans in Brooklyn, NY. She departed this life on September 14, 2021.
Carolyn received her formal education at Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, NY where she graduated in 1973. She later attended Beaufort County Community Collegelocated in Washington, NC.
Carolyn accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Mt. Hebron Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. While attending Mt. Hebron she served as Choir Director and President of the Mt. Hebron Mass Choir where she was also one of the lead singers. Her duties also included secretary of the union, Church Clerk, and secretary of the Usher Board. Carolyn loved to serve her church. She was also on both the senior citizen and kitchen committee.
She was employed by Hamilton Beach as a supervisor for thirty-three years. She then worked at PAS for eleven years where she retired as one of their assembly supervisors. To know her was to love her!
In her leisure, she enjoyed serving the Lord while participating in church activities and spending quality time with her grandchildren was a pastime she craved.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: her father, Berry Evans; her brothers and sisters: Ernest Louis Taylor, Leon Taylor, Shirley Beatrice Small, Gregory Evans, Stanley Evans, and Sean Travis Evans.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her many wonderful memories: children, Nicole Cooper and Charlie Cooper (Kadijah) both of Greenville, NC; grandchildren: Dana Langley, Maddison Cooper, and Anthony Cooper all of Greenville, NC; mother, Maggie B Evans of Brooklyn, NY; sisters and brothers: Terrance Evans of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher Patrick Evans of Staten Island, NY, Cynthia Margaret Colon of Brooklyn, NY, and Audrey Parris of Bronx, NY; Aunt Louise Gilyard of Brooklyn, Ny; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
