Dorothy was the daughter of Perkin Smith and Mollie Harmon. She was educated in the Muscogee County School System and was a graduate of William H. Spencer High School in Columbus, Georgia. She was employed with the Medical Center of Columbus in the Dietary Department for 34 years. She was a member of the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia where she served in the Culinary Ministry.

She was married to Otis Griffin. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Jerome Robinson, 2 sisters, Montry and Eldora and 1 brother, Major.

Survivors:
2 Sons: Sylvester Robinson(Rosalind) and Otis Griffin(Christal).
5 Grandchildren: Joynell Wright(Kelvin), Dana Robinson, Jerome Robinson Jr(Earlene), Nicholas Robinson(Jeny) and Rashad Griffin(Shonda).
5 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1PM in the Sanctuary of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia with Pastor J. H. Flakes III Officiating.
