Sharon Rose Martin, 75, of Waynesboro, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Shenandoah Hospice in Fishersville. She was born in Barnardsville, N.C. on October 18, 1946 to the late William Ira and Virginia Dare (Callaway) Brigman.

Sharon retired a LPN after 37 years of compassionately serving the needs of her patients. She was a devoted member Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church, where she cultivated her love of Christ and enjoyed the fellowship of others.

Sharon's two greatest joys were her love of Christ and spending time with her family. She was always eager to gather the entire family, feed them well, and shower them with love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Wayne Martin, whom she shared 54 years of loving marriage; sons, Kevin Andrew Martin and wife Stephanie, Eric Wesley Martin and wife Emily; granddaughter, Emma Nicole Martin; grandson, Trevor Andrew Martin and wife Savanah; grandson, Eli Robert Martin; granddaughter, Ellery Grace Martin; great grandchildren, Asher Wayne Martin, Kade Alexander Rohan; sister, Peggy Warren and husband Daniel and sister Sandra Nutting.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church, 688 Highland Ave., Waynesboro officiated by Pastor Janet Knott with a special and prayer from Pastor Jamie McClanahan.

Active pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Hospice House, 111 N. Campus Drive, Fishersville, Va. 22939 or Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church, 688 Highland Ave., Waynesboro, Va. 22980.
