Richard John Mitchell Sr, 79 of Jackson, NJ passed away on April 24, 2022 at his home.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Richard lived in Englishtown and then Jackson where he resided for over 55 years.

Richard is survived and especially loved by his children Cheryl Mitchell DiMartino of Cedar City, Utah and Richard John Mitchell Jr of Cream Ridge, NJ, his dear grandchildren Chelsea Rae Mathews and Morgan Taylor Mitchell, sister Bette Skok and brother Dennis Mitchell.

He is fondly remembered for his sense of humor and shenanigans throughout his life. Richard always enjoyed relaxing under his pavilion, watching hummingbirds, all while listening to his music and drinking a cold beverage.

Richard's vast work experience included; Aauthorized Electric, president and owner, Custom Classics Cars, president and owner, American Export Group in Washington, D.C., consultant for the bakery division in middle east, Egypt, Great Adventure, manager of the Miniature Village and park safety coordinator, and ITT Continental Baking Company, engineering supervisor.

He was a member of the Freemasons, philo lodge no. 243, a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Crescent Temple of Trenton, an Air Force Amvet, and the American Legion.
