Retired Air Force MSGT Donald Reid Ballard, 85, husband of 26 years to Carolyn O. Ballard, passed away on May 5, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born September 6, 1936, in Highpoint NC, he was the son of the late John Archie and Clara Gunter Ballard. He proudly served in the military 23 plus years, during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #547 of Laredo, TX; VFW Post #10804 of Little River SC; and a lifetime member of the Elk's Lodge #2679 of Calabash, NC. He enjoyed doing yardwork and tinkering in his workshop. He was a loving and generous man not only to his family and friends but also to anyone who he felt needed help.
