Thomas F. Day, age 57, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 surrounded by family. Thomas was born in Schenectady, NY on May 26, 1964, to Ronald J. and Ann M. (Smith) Day.

Thom graduated from Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School and went on to further his education at the University of Houston. Thom was a talented runner with many awards throughout high school, including one of the top 800 meter runners in the state. Thom was awarded the Eddy Trophy and held the mile record for many years. He continued his running career into college until it was cut short due to an injury.

Thom enjoyed working with his hands and worked as a local contractor for many years. Outside of work, Thom enjoyed going to the Albany Saratoga Speedway with his son and brothers, attending Adirondack Thunder hockey games and spending time with his endless number of friends. He could fill a room with his personality and give the shirt of his back to any stranger in need. Two of Thom's greatest accomplishments were his daughter, Lindsey, and son, Tyler. At every football game Tyler played in, Thom was the loudest one in the stands. Thom flew to Florida to watch Lindsey run in a half marathon just to cheer her on at the finish line. He loved chasing his grandson around the backyard and taking him shopping at Lowe's. Thom touched the lives of everyone he met. Please keep his memory alive by being kind to strangers, just as Thom would have done.

Along with his parents, Thomas will be remembered by his loving children, Lindsey A. (Christopher) Parker and Tyler J. Day (Bella Estill); his grandchildren, Jonathan and Addison Parker and awaiting a third baby Parker; his siblings, Kathleen (the late Gary) Sipe, Ronald J. Day, Jr., Nora (the late Boots) Day-Hall, Robert W. (Angel) Day, Eileen (George) Viele and John Paul (Courtney) Day. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Thomas is predeceased by his siblings, Patrick, Mary and Charles Day and Joan Spateholts.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 5:00-7:00pm .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Patrick Butler on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Thom's name to the Joshua Demarest Memorial Fund Scholarship through Greenwich High School.
