Sally Ann Porter died peacefully at her home on April 30, 2022.

Sally was born on September 19, 1943, to Harold and Marion Woodlee. She graduated from Texas School for the Deaf in 1963, attended business school, and retired from the IRS after 25 years. Her joys in life were her husband and family and her precious Deaf community. She loved her rotating Mexican Train Domino group, Red Hat Society lunches, Christmas cookie exchanges, and Texas Tingo nights. Sally was sweet, kind, quiet and mil mannered but could surprise you with her sly sense of humor and stubborness.

Sally is survived by her husband of 55 1/2 years, Morris Porter, children Sondra Porter Marks and John Porter, grandchildren Nadia, Hannah and AJ, sister Gloria Jean Johnston and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Marion Woodlee and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Linda Woodlee.

The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for their loving and thoughtful care, especially Abby, Shukri and Jazmine. If you wish to make a memorial donation, please consider the Austin Deaf Club.
