It is with heavy hearts that we must say goodbye to our beloved mother, Erma Ruggeri (nee Pieramici), 92 who passed away on May 1, 2022. Erma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Joseph. She was the dearest mother of Regina Shear (Robert), Janice Ruggeri and Joanne DalSanto (Gary); loving grandmother of Michael (Julie), Megan (Kurt), Aaron, Gregory (Kimberly), Olivia (fiancé Jody), Nicole (James) and Jennifer (Michael); and loving great-grandmother of Wynn, Archer, Blake, Jonathan, Landon and Juliet; daughter of the late Ceasare Pieramici and Loretta Frato, dear sister of Mary Lou and the late Jane, Dante and William; Godmother and aunt of many nieces and nephews; dearest friend of Sr. Kathleen Cooney, OSU and Richard Funk.
The Ruggeri family owned and operated Master Pizza in Willoughby for many years. Erma was known as "mama pizza" to a generation of young people for her kindness, compassion and generosity. Mom taught us many lessons, the greatest of these being her deep faith and love of family. We are heartbroken but know she is in heaven with God. We are certain she is dancing and making sure everyone feels loved and welcomed. Until we see your beautiful face again and feel your loving arms around us mom, we love you forever and always.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Erma to the Lake Humane Society.
